About appsem
|
This mailing list is for the Edinburgh site of the APPSEM project on Applied Semantics.
APPSEM is a working group in the ESPRIT programme of the European Union. The project aims to bring together programming language reseachers, with the specific aim of improving communication between theoreticians and practitioners. We hope to focus theoreticians' attention on important practical problems as well as to speed up the application of new theoretical ideas in practice.
Towards these aims, the project supports workshops and summer schools in a range of relevant themes. The current APPSEM II network started in 2003, following on from APPSEM I which ran successfully from 1998 to 2002.
The project coordinator for Edinburgh is Ian Stark.
Please note that this is a local list, primarily for Edinburgh APPSEM participants and complementing the central APPSEM mailing list held at Munich. There is no automatic cross-posting, so you may wish to subscribe to both lists.
