Postgraduate Assistant: Web

Purpose

To help maintain the LFCS web site http://www.lfcs.inf.ed.ac.uk

Employment

No more than six hours per week, paid at University demonstrator rates. Responsible to the LFCS Deputy Director. Appointment reviewed annually.

Responsibilities

  1. Technical work on facilities for the site: search pages, secure access, automatic generation of some material.
  2. Help individual LFCS members with web pages within their areas of the site.
  3. Collection of content for the site: information on research activities, events, people.

Skills

The job requires some familiarity with writing HTML, Perl, CGI scripts, Apache SSI and English. Experience in web design would be bonus.
